Fed 'n Happy Basecamp™
Biomineral Soil Amendment Made from Worm Castings
Basecamp isn’t another input—it’s the foundation that makes everything else work.
Built from Fed 'n Happy worm castings and enhanced through our biomineral process, Basecamp helps improve your soil structure, hydration, cycle nutrients, and support real biological activity.
When the soil works, everything above it gets easier.
What's in Basecamp
- Worm Castings
- Biochar
- Composted organic material
What It Does
- Builds soil aggregation: improves structure so roots, air, and water can move freely
- Increases water infiltration & retention: more water goes in, less runs off, more stays available
- Boosts biological activity: supports microbes that drive nutrient cycling
- Improves nutrient efficiency: helps fertilizer stay available and get used
What That Means for You
- Crops handle heat and drought better
- More consistent emergence and stands
- Better performance from your current fertility program
- Less variability across the field
- Soil that improves year after year
Why Farmers Use Basecamp
Most products push the plant. Basecamp builds the system. It's not a rescue pass or a one-time fix—it's the starting point that makes every other decision more effective.
Farmers choose Basecamp for:
- Lower input waste
- Better water management
- Long-term soil improvement
- More resilient crops
How to Use
- Granular form: flows through broadcast spreaders and seed boxes
- Apply with dry fertilizer, broadcast, or in-furrow systems
- Works in conventional, no-till, and regenerative systems
- Compatible with most fertility programs
- Application Rate
- With Seed - 10% of seeding rate
- Broadcast - 25-300lbs per acre
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between Basecamp and worm castings?
Worm castings are the foundation of every Fed 'n Happy product. Basecamp starts with our worm castings and adds a balanced blend of biochar and composted organic material, making it a complete soil-improvement mix rather than a single ingredient.
How much Basecamp do I apply per acre?
- With seed: 10% of your seeding rate (for example, 10 lbs of Basecamp per 100 lbs of seed)
- Broadcast: 25–300 lbs per acre
Rates vary by soil and operation. Contact us for a recommendation specific to your fields.
Can Basecamp go through my fertilizer spreader or planter?
Yes. Basecamp is granular, so it can go in your seed box with your seed or through a standard broadcast spreader.
How is Basecamp shipped, and what does FOB Hutchinson mean?
You can pick up your order at our Hutchinson, KS facility, or we can arrange shipping.
FOB (Free on Board) Hutchinson means ownership and responsibility pass to you as soon as the carrier picks up and signs for the order at our dock. From that point you own the product in transit, and any freight damage claims go through the carrier.
Simple Truth
If your soil isn’t working, nothing else can reach its potential.
Basecamp fixes that.
